University Clinical Health provides hospitalist services at Baptist Hospitals in Memphis. Hospitalists are physicians whose professional focus is the general medical care of hospitalized patients. Their activities include patient care, teaching, research and leadership related to hospital medicine. University Clinical Health hospitalists Dr. Jeffrey Lowder, Dr. Julius Cronin and Dr. Ankur Seth typically spend most or all of their work days in the hospital, and thus can be more readily available to a patient than a doctor who spends much of the day outside the hospital in an office or clinic setting.

UT Psychiatry helps adults deal with emotional and social problems ranging from depression to eating disorders and schizophrenia. While much is still to be learned about these conditions, researchers now know that many of them are caused by biological, social or environmental factors. Fortunately, most of these illnesses can be treated effectively with psychotherapy and/or medication. University Clinical Health’s interdisciplinary team of board-certified psychiatrists and licensed psychologists offer personalized, compassionate care that focuses on improving quality of life for patients. We work with patients to help them understand their problems, acquire long-term coping skills and manage situations independently after they leave our care.
The services offered will include:
- Anger management
- Bipolar (manic depressive) disorder
- Eating disorders
- Job stress
- Marital/relationship problems
