UT Addiction Medicine a Practice Affiliated with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center Announces Marthinus Zeeman, MD as their Newest Physician.

Dr. Zeeman joins our practice after completing his fellowship at UT Addiction Medicine in Memphis, TN.  He earned his medical degree from Ross University Medical School, in North Brunswick, New Jersey, then completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. Next, he was with the Locums Family Medicine group in Lihue, HI where he practiced Family Medicine. While practicing with the Locums Family Medicine group and treating addicted patients he knew it was time to become an expert in the Addiction Medicine field.

Dr. John Woods, Director of UT Addiction Medicine stated “We are excited Dr. Zeeman is remaining in Memphis after completing his fellowship to join our practice.  His passion for helping others during their personal struggles comes through every day as he treats his patients with respect and compassion.”

Dr. Zeeman specializes in addiction disorders of alcohol, opioid, cocaine, stimulant, cannabis and the evaluation of impaired professionals.

 

Dr. Zeeman is originally from South Africa, has lived and traveled in the US and is married to his wife who is an ER Nurse and has three children.
